Students Get Fast Break on Spring Break
Just as spring has begun a little early, Spring Break begins a little early today at Bleckley County Schools. The normal eight hour day has been shortened. Students will leave at noon today. Even though teachers will work a full day, they share their students’ excitement at the early start to the week long respite from taking tests and grading papers. Whether off to the beach or settling in to a “staycation,” teachers and students are prepared to enjoy the time off before the big push toward state-wide testing later in April. Teachers hope that students return rested, refreshed, and ready to perform at their best on the Georgia Milestones. Students, on the other hand, are simply glad to have the time to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather and a few hours of extra sleep.
