Do you need gifts for graduation, or maybe an end of the year thank you gift for teachers? Maybe you you haven’t been able to find the perfect Mother’s Day present, or you would like to get a head start on your Christmas shopping. Whatever the reason, you will find tons of great gift items at the Beta Club/Jodi’s Accessories tent sale on May 13th from 9am to 5pm at the old high school parking lot.
Beta hopes to send 23 state winners to national competition in Orlando this summer from June 29-July 2. Yes, you read that right – 23! This is an incredible achievement for a small school like BCHS. These 23 students competed in agriculture, fiber arts, robotics, and show choir. Click here to see names and pictures of winners.
Sponsors Cindy Felkins, Billie Lumley, and Jill Brack are proud of their Beta members and excited for them to show off their talents at the national level. However, they will need $12,000 for hotel, transportation, and registration alone. So, students and advisers are working hard to raise the money for their trip, and you can help.
Come out to the old high school parking lot May 13 and shop for good. Spend your money on items you need to buy anyway and help the Beta club send students to national competition at the same time. Enjoy an afternoon of shopping, talking to the kids, eating sno-cones, and spending time with people from our community.
In addition to the tent sale, there will be sno-cones and Vidalia onions for sale. There will also be a quilt raffle with the drawing to be held at 5 pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to come together as a community in support of our students!
